Mr. McCoy has been handling lawsuits since he graduated with High Honors with the Duke University School of Law in 1989. He worked a prestigious clerkship for Judge Michael Kanne on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit immediately after graduation. Since then, he has been a litigator with large firms, medium firms, and a sole practitioner. Along the way, he served as general counsel to a chemical and electronics company.

Mr. McCoy has appeared before state and federal trial courts, courts of appeals, and even handled two cases before the United States Supreme Court.

Business Law

Whether its bylaws or contracts, Mr. McCoy has handled business matters for his clients. He has been general counsel to a corporation, so understands the business needs of his clients. Drafting and reviewing pertinent documents are part of the services provided at McCoy Law Firm.
